PART 2: (CON)TEMPORARY Beneath the objects from the first part of the project (evolution), there are others, that came up by technological innovation and changing needs. Often there's no design-predecessor, so that a complete new form has to be created. The first drafts are experimental and radical or – as it is in most cases – reduced to their pure functional needs. This class of objects is highly in danger of being replaced by the next innovation, that revolutionizes the way we manage this specific task or a changing habit of the users. So a desktop-computer is getting replaced by a laptop, the laptop by a smartphone, the smartphone by smart-glasses and so on. Some day we might end up with brain-computer-interfaces that work just by thinking instead of typing, recording, etc.
